I was assigned to do a review on these books recently and took the project on even though I'm in no way a builder, or even remotely familiar with the basics of building. I'll be honest, I tried to get out of it, but since I'm the person that isn't afraid to try new things, and the staff thought it would be a kick, I was nominated to do the review.

So my first step was a review of the actual ebook that you get from the site. This book has over twelve thousand plans. That was an impressive number, but did it have the kind of diagrams, schematics, etc., that a woodworker who knew what they were doing could follow. I took the book down to my neighbor contractor and asked him to take a look at it.

Well, what I found out was that the book has more detailed plans, diagrams, and schematics than are included in most projects and sure, a person who knows nothing about building will be able to use them. Okay, that sounded like a challenge! I picked out a small shed decided that I would find out if "anybody can do this" really meant that "anybody" could do it.

I have to admit that I employed the services of a helper who did the heavy lifting and had a swarthy "helper" look. Then I sat about following the directions for the small shed. All of the materials that I needed were listed on the recipe, er, directions. Taking my list to the lumber store I was soon loaded up with all of the two by somethings and eight by somethings that were needed for my project.

Now, I'm sure that anybody who knows anything about woodworking would be able to do their project way faster than I did. But, the point is that I was able to do it without any outside assistance, except for my helper. The directions were clear and easy to follow.

The Tips and Tricks book that is also included proved to be a great asset. I was able to use many of the tips during my building project and get things done much more smoothly. And, I was able to save a ton of money on the shed. But, most importantly the My Shed Plans Elite made it possible for somebody with absolutely no experience to build something that is functional!

According to my contractor friend the book is excellent for experienced builders who don't like to waste time with plans. According to me, this book is an invaluable tool for people who don't have a clue what they are doing but can follow directions. It doesn't matter what your skill level is, you will find that the books and bonuses you get are affordable and will be something you will continue to use. Now that I'm officially a "builder" I can say without a doubt that My Shed Plans Elite Review gets a thumbs up for an easy to use package for making stuff.
