Shower chairs are becoming very popular amongst the elderly. Shower chairs can reduce the fatigue and risk of a fall too. Handheld shower heads also increasy the safety in the bathroom as it can be used comfortly to wash the whole body while sitting down.

This reduces the risk of poisoning your kid when left unattended in the bathroom. It also keeps them away from sharp and dangerous objects like scissors and shavers.
When talking about safety in the bathroom, most overlook the fact that some people also have their toilet inside the bathroom. Toilet seat raisers can be used to raise the height of the toilet. As they are higher the sitting on and getting up off the toilet is much easier. To help the elderly move to and from the toilet bowl mount grab rails or bars near the toilet.
Some other great ideas that are important to the overall safety of the bathroom are scald-warning devices that change color based on the temperature of the water. This eliminates the risk of being burnt or scald by hot water. Soft covers can be used on the taps to decrease the risk of falling over and hitting the head.
