A great way to beautify your bedroom is not just to do it with style and comfort in mind. How about a dose of good luck for you? A Feng Shui -motivated bedroom design can bring in all the positive energy you necessitate so that when you wake up in the morning, you are in exactly the right mood to take on an additional day of life's joys and challenges. And when you retreat back into it, you'll have all those good vibes for a nice long and sleepy night. Next morning, you're all fresh and reinvigorated. Sounds like a great idea.
According to Feng Shui, the position of the bed is significant in the flow of energy into your bedroom. Although it matters what way your headboard points to, your sleeping position would not make a difference. Ideally, you should be able to lay on your bed and have a view of you door, but the bed should not be right in front of it.
Must your bed be directly across the door, ensure that you have a high footboard or anything strong to have at the foot of the bed. On the other hand, if the position of your bed doesn't allow you to see the door, hang a mirror where it reflects the door and you in fact see it.
Feng Shui also puts significance on the view you get while you're on your bed. Surround yourself with dcor and anything beautiful. Bathroom and closet doors should also be shut. Certainly no TV in the bedroom. But if you can't sleep without it, put it in furniture that allows you to keep it hidden as the night goes deep. Pulling down the curtains and covering big mirrors at night also help promote better sleep.
When it comes to colors, Feng Shui recommends skin tones such as beiges browns and yellows. There's also room for the pinks, redsand violets. On the other hand, other cool shades such as grays, greens and blues may not be that rich in terms of the positive vibes that they can create.
As for your bedroom furniture, a Feng Shui design does not need any particular type. That means whether you go for a complex traditional set or simplistic modern furniture, it won't matter. A practical suggestion would, perhaps, be to get something of good quality in keeping with the tradition of all things good and beautiful in order to magnetize only the good energy.

When you go to sell your home, you will find that potential sellers are very interested in your bathrooms and kitchen. This is because the kitchen is a central meeting and gathering place in any house and a fair amount of time is spent in the bathrooms as well. Additionally, the guest bathroom needs to look nice as all your guests will use it and it is a reflection of you.
Bathroom design and redesigning has become big business now and any trip to a home improvement store will verify that. There is a lot more that can be done now to spruce up your bathroom than just changing the shower curtains. Anyone with the money to spend can rack up a nice bill buying fancy mirrors, designer faucets, designer sinks, and the fanciest bathtubs you can imagine. There are a great number of options a person has when considering a bathroom remodel.
Anytime you set out to do a bathroom remodel, you should remember that the cabinets are one of the most important parts you need to get right. When a person enters your bathroom, the first things they see are your shower curtain (assuming it is pulled closed) and the cabinets. You need to have cabinets that are proportionally the right size for the bathroom and are the right color as well. You can always buy custom made cabinets if you dont like the ones for sale in your local stores.
Bathroom mirrors are not all the same and you don't have to have a standard one. Especially in the guest bathroom on the main floor, a special mirror may be just the design element you need. In that guest bathroom, there will be no shower and people will not need a big mirror as they might in the other bathrooms of the house. This leaves room for you to come up with some fun bathroom mirror ideas that add a special touch to the bathroom that all your guests will see. You can get mirrors in all sizes, shapes, and styles and you can pick one that goes well with the other things in the bathroom. People love to look at mirrors (and themselves in mirrors) so a fun mirror will get your guests talking.
Finally, make sure the colors in your bathroom all work well together. Nothing makes a bathroom look sillier than the wrong colors that dont look right. While the colors in your bathroom dont necessarily have to match those of the rest of the house, they should look appropriate for the setting. Dark shades of colors might not be the best choice because they will make the room look darker and people need to be able to see what they are doing in the bathroom. The colors you choose will set the tone for the room so choose them carefully.
